I fell in love with books the way you fall asleep, slowly and then all at once. I was called among other things, a voracious reader, which always made me feel like some kind of monster consuming endless amounts of literature. If you are a lover of books you may have heard the saying, that reading a book is like consuming a life, for it takes a lifetime of work sometimes to create one novel. How amazing is that? That by reading we are inheriting life lessons, and stories, memoirs of pain and success, thoughtful provocations of future distant societies, and real accounts of horror.
I used to think I was alone in this infatuation, but I have come to realize that there is an entire book culture out there for bibliophiles just like you and me.
I hope you enjoy reading about various book culture anecdotes on this blog, whether they are book reviews and recommendations, interviews with authors, tips about writing, even getting a career in the publishing industry, because truly books are here to stay, and the culture they have created for those who cannot live without words is something to talk about.
